Lime Putty and Limewash

Lime putty is a material that has many benefits for use in the building industry, when used in whatever form, for the care and repair of older (historic or listed) buildings. However it is not solely used on listed buildings, and Lime putty is now being used more frequently within the construction industry. Our FAQ page will explain the reasons why lime putty should be used on old or 'listed buildings' and we should make it clear that Lime putty rather than cement should be used on these type of structures.

Limewash is a traditional paint we offer, used to finish lime work both internally and externally. Our high quality limewash is an ideal paint to use on lime plaster and render, as well as on masonry and brickwork which is pointed with lime mortar as limewash is the most breathable paint and the breath-ability of Limewash allows moisture to escape from mortars and solid wall buildings. We offer Limewash in a variety of colours in both 5 litre and 10 litre quantity and have a sample booklet available. Please visit our FAQ page to answer any questions you may have on Lime Putty, or feel free to give us a call.
